The Graduated Pathway

In response to the Children and Families Act (2014), which seeks to improve outcomes for children with SEN and/or disabilities, Gloucestershire has developed an approach that ensures children are at the centre of the support that is given.

The Graduated Pathway ensures that there are consistent reviews of progress made so that the type and level of support given will change as the needs of the child change.

When your child is identified as a pupil with SEN, we will use the graduated approach based on four steps. These are:
